Bridging cultures through music

Celebrating Asian and Canadian musical dialogue

Overview

The Canadian Asian Music Society (CAMS) is a non-profit cultural organization based in Toronto. It is dedicated to connecting traditional and contemporary Asian and Canadian musical traditions through performance, education and collaboration.

Founded in 2021 by Iranian-Canadian Ney player and composer Kianoush Khalilian, CAMS brings together musicians from diverse backgrounds to create meaningful cultural exchange through music.

CAMS exists to use music as a bridge between cultures. We create opportunities for learning, collaboration, and performance that bring Asian and Canadian traditions into dialogue.

Our work supports cultural understanding, artistic growth, and the preservation of musical heritage across communities.
