A Contemporary Cross-Cultural Journey Rooted in Tradition
The Canadian Asian Ensemble (CAE) is a multicultural ensemble of the Canadian Asian Music Society (CAMS). It brings together accomplished musicians from diverse Asian and Canadian traditions to create original performances that celebrate cultural diversity and connect cultures through music.
At the core of CAE’s work is the relationship between music, nature and human experience. Each performance is shaped to encourage reflection and connection, drawing from traditional musical heritage and natural inspiration.
CAE focuses on cultural dialogue, including collaboration between Asian and Indigenous communities in Canada. Through these exchanges, the ensemble creates new works that reflect shared experiences and diverse cultural perspectives.
We believe music is a universal language that builds understanding and respect. Through its performances, CAE presents a shared artistic journey that highlights cultural diversity and the evolving meaning of music today.
CAE presents live concerts and cultural performances in Canada and internationally, featuring contemporary interpretations of Asian musical traditions.
Tickets and event information are available for upcoming CAE performances.
