A Cross-Cultural Journey Through Music
The Canadian Asian Ensemble (CAE) is a multicultural music group of the Canadian Asian Music Society (CAMS). It brings together master musicians from diverse Asian and Canadian traditions to create original performances that celebrate cultural diversity, honour nature, and connect cultures through music.
At the heart of CAE’s work is a deep focus on the connection between nature, art, and music. Each performance is designed to inspire reflection and wonder, drawing from traditional musical heritage and the beauty of the natural world. A key focus is raising awareness about the impact of human actions on nature and the environment. Through our music, we share messages of peace, hope, and friendship.
One of CAE’s main goals is to build connection among Asian cultures in Canada while also working with Indigenous communities. We aim to bring together the cultural heritage of Asia with the traditions and histories of Canada, creating new works that reflect both worlds.
We believe music is a universal language that brings people together, builds respect, and deepens understanding. Through diverse musical voices, CAE offers audiences a journey that celebrates cultural diversity, honours nature, and explores what music can mean today.
